Is Establishing Khilafah obligatory?
Jinnzaman in a long post analyzes the reasons why establishing Khilafah is Fard. He cites Quranic verses and also ahadith to back up his arguments. His basic arguments revolves around that fact that western influence on Islam has diluted the knowledge of scholars of Islam
Thus, it is no surprise that the Muslims of today are imitating the West, its former colonizer. Unfortunately, very few of us today share the prescience of Ibn Khaldun who lamented the Andalusians imitation of the Galician nations and on these grounds predicted their demise. What many of our brethren fail to realize that the entire discourse of “modernizing Islam� does not exist within a political vacuum, but that the discourse on Islam itself is hegemonic in nature.

In my humble opinion did Eteraz make an excellent point, in fact his whole article refutes the Khilafah obsession in a acceptable way.
till the khilafat was there no one dared to look towards y.y were one as the europian union is tryig to do toaday-an idea on loan from from khilafa.Now y ae scattered and every one is killing and beating y worse than black slaves of old USA/Still dont realize the benefits of one family
Eteraz’s refutation is absolutely baseless,
weak and historically deniable, the whole world
was given an example of Four Righteous Khulaf-ar-Rashidin, who were very simple but so solid examples of order on earth maintained by Khalifa as Ameer-ul-Moeminin or muslimin,
Jinnzaman’s argument on ijma is not only historic but carrys benedictions of Allah SWT
and His Last Prophet SAW.

Is the Khilafah an obligation in Islam?
The Messeneger of Allah (saw) said in hadith “Whosoever dies without a bay’ah(pledge of allegiance to the Khalifah) on his neck dies the death of Jahiliyah (ignorance)”, reported by Imam Muslim. I think the hadith speaks for itself.
Anyway, it is very rational that when one country is united it is stronger than when the same sountry is divided into different states. The most powerful nations on Earth: UNITED state of America, European UNION, China.
