Virginia Tech Tragedy

The Muslim perspective of a universal tragedy.

If you cannot call this incident terrorism, then you can’t call any other terrorism. What is interesting is that when terrorists strike, they do not discriminate between race, religion, color, ethnicity, etc. Rather, they are motivated by hate or some other emotion that leads them to indiscriminately kill others. If this person, who allegedly was motivated by something as small (in the relative sense) as the love of a girl, then it makes sense (doesn’t justify) why other people can be motivated by misunderstandings and misinterpretation of religious texts.

Unfortunately, some bigots don’t know when to keep quiet.

I was just about to update this entry with the link to your article on Brother Waleed, but you got here first.

Truly this whole event has touched the lives of so many. I pray Brother Waleed died as shaheed.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun.
