I’m sorry, but your linking to that factually challenged, basically racist piece makes me question the legitimacy of this site, one that I’ve been following casually for a while now.
To understand my reservations, let me flip the title of that post to its more familiar counterpart. What would your reaction be to someone who wrote a post entitled “Why are Muslims so hateful?” Or “Why are Arabs so unintelligent?” And then proceeded to write an articulate post filled with seemingly common-sensical statistics, that are actually pulled (and without shame) off an incredibly iffy site? (I mean, seriously. You need to check the site he’s linked to. It makes me choke a little.)
Seemingly positive stereotypes are as problematic as the more obviously troublesome negative ones. It is a fine line between analysing so-called genetic and communal intelligence and providing support for conspiracy theories that preach world take-overs. A fine line, by the way, that the writer of this article does not navigate very well, despite his polite and noncommittal langauge.
And I’m not even addressing the factual inaccuracies in that post or the assumptions on which it is based. I’m more concerned with the ingrained cultural biases.

Well Fathima I read the article now, and I found no racist element in it, no more than in`Arabia is a desert’.
It is a fact that Jewish people are very well represented in high offices. I am afaid I differ from you in that regard.
In India, there are always surveys to find out how are different ethnic groups doing to find out what can be done to those who lag behind. I see no racism in that either.
Racism is defined as

For not long time ago, the Jews were held having learning disability in the beginning of 20th C.E. (Read Troy Duster), because they did very poorly in tests.
Now there is a study in the UK shows that Black Africans are the most highly educated group in british society. Why don’t we hear that in the media?
When examine these studies, there are many things to take consideration. Ex. these Black Africans, what the study does not tell us is, these Black Africans are many of them from African unversities and come to Europe to study to specialize.
The environment plays a major important role (health care, background, housing,etc)
Unfortunately, most African Americans and Latinos lack these facilities as they are presented at bottom of food chain.
To say sons of Adam have different race is against Islam, since Allah tells us that we all come from Adam (pbuh), and it is against common sense. So far, no gene is found to code certain race.

Not so fast, sister. Do not commit the same mistake as the arrogant Musftis make. Do not jump into conclusions. When you claim that something is against Islam, you have to be very careful.
Qur’an itself calls Jews as Jews. Allah, in the Qur’an, is angry with those Jews who broke the Covenant with Him.

Have you read this Hadith?- No Arab is better than a non-Arab or a no non-Arab is better than an Arab except by his takwa. (No quotes because it’s not verbatim).
Is race being referred to or not?
Do not confuse this with racism. Racism involves hatred of certain races.
The fact that we all came from one single pair does not make races vanish. It only reminds us that before Him, all are equal. Equal, but not the same.

Feeling scared to enter this convo (i haven’t read the entry in question), but i believe what Manas meant by ‘idle talk’ was that he didn’t want to go round in circles, so he stopped his point there.
It seems the disagreement lies in the different understanding of the word ‘race’. Dr Dictionary says:

So, in that sense, Manas is not saying anything bad when he uses the term ‘race’, although gess’ reservations with that word are also valid, as she assumed the biological definition.
It just shows how careful we need to be with our word choice.

You did not do right by assuming that I think of races are different ’species’. You see- I do not.
