Islam and Democracy Series

Part one and two from Brother MT. AKbar

In this series I only plan on touching the surface of this topic which must be approached from all angles and perspectives. Integral in this discussion is not only to ask questions but to ask the right questions. At this point I will not be delving into a deep discussion on books/research on this topic, of which there is no doubt a plethora, nor do I want to get too far off into the theoretical aspects of the relationship between Islam and Democracy and thereby leave the practical. I will proceed as of now in a form of analyzing dialogue and conversation between prominent and engaged Muslims from wide and diverse backgrounds and see what they contribute to this question. I will then possibly go into some research on the subject by looking at different models and put some concluding remarks on the subject.
