A Complaint-Free World?
Dawud Israel thinks that this new movement is a good idea:
“I saw a program regarding this movement and I can see the benefit of such a cause. It is a Christian cause but would be of immense benefit to Muslims.
For one thing, most of the complaints (especially among sisters and adults) are in the form of gheebah, or back-biting. Not only that, but it affects the negative thinking that we have …”
He goes on to say:
“The program essentially makes you wear a bracelet that says, “Stop complaining!” and every time you complain you have to switch the bracelet to the other hand. It surprises a lot of people that they often complain upto 30-50 times a day and as this video shows, some have really minimized that to maybe 3 or 4. No one can really eliminate it since it is something human but minimizing it is something achievable and worthwhile. It’s essentially a reminder and nothing more…and as the Quran says, “Reminders benefit the believers.”…..”
