Ruth Nasrullah comments on the reversion of an Indian man into Islam, filmed as part of the Peace Conference in India last month. The embedded video lets us personally witness the most important step a person can make in his life, allowing us to get a feel for the mercy descending upon him and the audience.
I’m actually not really sure why I cried, why I was so moved - and so instantly moved - by watching this. I suspect that my reaction is an innate response to knowing that la illaha il Allah, that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, is right and true and the day that you embrace that idea is like the calm after a thunderstorm.
