Masjids Into Museums

True Life at at-Tazkirah shares an article warning against letting our masaajid become museums, citing examples from our history in which the most illustrious places of worship have been reduced to sites of disobedience and disrespect.

When I see the sanctity of mosques being violated in such a way, I fear if our mosques are being converted into the museums. You must have heard about the beauty and attractiveness of the Qurtuba Masjid in Andalusia. Today that historical and beautiful mosque has been converted into a museum where no one is allowed to perform the Salaat.

  1. @ The organization of muslim unity or world
muslim organisation shoud wake up and bring
all the similar issues before Europeancouts and do the necessary public discussions and
challenge European’s big mouth claiming religious rights in Pakistan, SA, Iran India,
etc how come those mosques be converted to
a museum, shall we not perhaps convert all
the beautiful cathidrel into tourist visit as
they are seldom used and are found in a no more colony country, either dismantle them ans take away or we use them as tourist visiting
of course with all due respect for the sanctity.
I am ready to join anyone serious about the
matter, go and see any PM or culture Minister.

EU, Africa, Asia, China, India etc.
