Anti-Israel Protest Stops Ambassador’s Lunch-in

Tadamon reports:

Visibly stunned by the protests, Israel’s Ambassador stood silent as protests chanted “fight the power, turn the tide; End Israeli Apartheid!” Throughout the disruption, over twelve thousand pieces of brightly colored protest-confetti were showered across the conference room and throughout the hallways of the Queen Elizabeth hotel, carrying a simple message: “60 years of Israeli Apartheid, 60 years of Palestinian dispossession; Boycott Israel!”

Kosova’s Independence

Kosovo’s (pronounced Kosova) declaration of independence have triggered a wide range of responses. Here’s a highlight.

The responses have mostly been welcoming. Some can’t forget old (and new) wounds (occupation and military bases) though. What if Palestine follows suit (through Fanonite)?

But who knew so much about the Sufi traditions in the Balkan region?

Freedom for Alan Johnston: A time for joy and reflection

Head of the Hamas’s political bureau, Khalid Mishal writes-

As Alan Johnston returns home, we hope that the British, and people the world over, reflect on the fact that more than 12,000 Palestinians are languishing in Israeli jails, unjustly denied their freedom. They include ministers of a democratically elected government, parliamentarians, women and even children.

However, I didn’t like it that he did not even mention the recent violence in Ghaza. My opinion- he should have apologized for it.
