Ijtema-e-Aam is Jamaat-e-Islami’s largest national gathering in Pakistan, aimed at fostering practical awareness, spiritual development, and societal reform.
The gathering spans three days, providing participants with training in religious service, collective discipline, moral and ethical development, and practical guidance to strengthen the “Badal Do Nizam” campaign.
This gathering is more than an event — it is a movement platform designed to unite Pakistanis in recognizing the flaws of the current system, finding solutions, and taking practical steps toward implementing an Islamic, just system.

Historical Significance
Origins
Ijtema-e-Aam has a long and distinguished history as a central gathering of Jamaat-e-Islami members and supporters. The first major Ijtema was held on 19th April 1945 at Darul Islam, 166 kilometers from Lahore. It brought together participants from across India, enduring long and difficult journeys to assemble for spiritual, educational, and organizational purposes.
Since then, Ijtema-e-Aam has grown into a national and international platform, bringing together tens of thousands of participants from Pakistan and beyond. Over the decades, it has become a symbol of discipline, collective effort, and ideological commitment, rather than just a social or political gathering.
