Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan

A leading Islamic organization dedicated to serving the Muslim community

Our History

Foundation

Jamaat-e-Islami is a movement for the establishment of religion. It was founded by Islamic thinker Syed Abul-Ala Maududi on August 26, 1941 in Lahore. The group that started with 73 people and little capital today numbers in the millions.

Its effects are felt not only in Pakistan but all over the world. Islamic movements in different countries of the world have benefited from Syed Maududi's thoughts.

Mission & Vision

The Ultimate goal (نصب العین) of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and all its efforts is to practically establish an Islamic way of life (God's rule or Islamic system) and truly achieve Allah's pleasure and success in the afterlife.

We envision a Pakistan where Islamic values guide all aspects of life, from individual conduct to national policy.

Jamaat's Permanent Plan of Action

Guidance from Allah and His Messenger ﷺ: Before any decision, the Jamaat examines divine guidance, keeping all other considerations secondary within Islamic bounds.

Truthful and Righteous Means Only: In pursuing its mission, the Jamaat employs only methods aligned with truthfulness and integrity, avoiding any approach that causes corruption or disorder.

Democratic and Constitutional Struggle: Reform and transformation are pursued through democratic methods—preaching, persuasion, and building public opinion for positive change.

Open and Transparent Movement: All efforts are conducted openly and transparently, with no secretive or underground operations.
